1 Samuel 2:7
1 Samuel 2:7
The Lord maketh poor and maketh rich he bringeth low and lifteth up.
God’s sovereignty over our finances is a reminder that we are stewards, not owners, of the resources He provides. He is the ultimate source of wealth, and He determines our financial circumstances. While some may experience times of poverty, others may be blessed with abundance, but in both situations, it is God who decides. The Lord raises up and brings low, showing that our financial status is not an indicator of our value in His eyes. The scripture teaches that God is the provider and sustainer of everything, including our financial resources. Whether we are in a season of scarcity or abundance, we are reminded to trust in His provision. Wealth is not a symbol of success or happiness; rather, it is a tool to serve God’s purposes. Understanding that all we have is a gift from God, we are called to use it wisely. Our finances should reflect a heart of stewardship, with an awareness that everything comes from Him. Our role is to manage and use these resources for His glory.
Proverbs 19:17
He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the Lord; and that which he hath given will he pay him again.
Luke 12:15
Take heed and beware of covetousness for a man s life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.
Psalms 37:16
A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked.
Deuteronomy 8:18
But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.
