1 Thessalonians 4:9
1 Thessalonians 4:9
But as touching brotherly love ye need not that I write unto you: for ye yourselves are taught of God to love one another.
Brotherly love is a commandment that is deeply embedded in our faith, a principle taught by God Himself. This verse reminds us that loving one another is not just a suggestion but a foundational truth that God has instilled in our hearts. Brotherly love calls us to act with kindness, patience, and a willingness to support each other. This love is not conditional or selective; it extends to all, reflecting the boundless love that God has for us. When we embrace this love, we build strong relationships grounded in mutual respect and compassion. This love is an act of obedience, a way to honor God’s teachings and to live in a way that mirrors His character. Brotherly love strengthens our communities, creating a safe and supportive environment where everyone is encouraged to grow and thrive. Embracing this love allows us to live with a heart that seeks to serve and uplift others, bringing joy and peace to those around us.
1 Peter 5:5
Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.
1 Peter 2:17
Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.
Proverbs 14:21
He that despiseth his neighbour sinneth: but he that hath mercy on the poor, happy is he.
