1 Thessalonians 5:12
1 Thessalonians 5:12
And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labor among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you.
This verse reminds us of the significance of honoring and supporting our spiritual leaders. Those who labor in the Lord’s work—whether pastors, elders, or mentors—deserve recognition for their dedication to guiding and admonishing us in our faith. By knowing and respecting those who lead us, we not only support their ministry but also strengthen the body of Christ. Spiritual leaders provide much-needed direction and counsel, pointing us to God's Word and encouraging us to grow in our faith. Their labor is not in vain, and it is through their guidance that we are equipped to live according to God’s will. This verse calls us to be mindful of their efforts, offering support and encouragement in return. Just as we honor God, we are also called to honor those who labor for the sake of His kingdom, recognizing their sacrifices and contributions. By showing gratitude and respect, we build a stronger community of believers united in purpose.
Ecclesiastes 4:9
Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour.
1 Corinthians 14:26
Let all things be done unto edifying.
Romans 14:7
For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself.
Romans 15:4
For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.
