2 Corinthians 4:18
2 Corinthians 4:18
So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen.
The Apostle Paul’s words call us to fix our eyes on the unseen, the eternal, rather than the temporary and visible. Humility is the key to shifting our focus away from the world’s distractions. When we live in humility, we are not driven by what can be seen—material wealth, social status, or external appearances. Instead, we fix our eyes on the promises of God and the unseen realities of His Kingdom. This shift in focus transforms our identity and purpose, giving us a deeper sense of meaning and fulfillment. Living with humility means acknowledging that what is eternal—our relationship with God, His love for us, and His plans for our lives—is far more important than anything the world offers. Humility leads us to live for the things that truly matter and to set our hearts on the eternal purpose God has for us.
James 3:9
With the tongue, we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse human beings, who have been made in God’s likeness.
Psalms 149:4
For the Lord taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation.
1 Peter 2:6
Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.
Luke 22:26
But the one who is greatest among you must become like the youngest, and the leader like one who serves.
