2 Corinthians 4:8
2 Corinthians 4:8
We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed;
In 2 Corinthians 4:8-9, the apostle Paul shares his perspective on enduring hardship: "We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair." Paul acknowledges the challenges he faces, but he also recognizes that God’s power sustains him. No matter how difficult the circumstances may be, we are not without hope. We may face affliction and confusion, but we are not overwhelmed. God’s strength is made perfect in our weakness, and He is able to carry us through even the most difficult times. This verse serves as a reminder that while suffering is a reality of life, it is not the end of the story. God gives us the resilience to rise above, to stand firm, and to hold fast to hope.
