2 Corinthians 5:1
2 Corinthians 5:1
For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
Our earthly lives are temporary, but God has promised a lasting home beyond this world. This assurance of an eternal dwelling prepared by God gives us a perspective that transcends the here and now. While earthly possessions and structures are temporary, God’s promise of a heavenly home is unshakeable. This eternal house, crafted by God, serves as a reminder that our true belonging is not in the things of this world but in His eternal kingdom. As we navigate the challenges and uncertainties of life, we are comforted by the knowledge that there is a place reserved for us, secure and everlasting. This promise invites us to live with a focus on what truly matters, to invest in our relationship with God, and to hold loosely to the things of this world. In the assurance of His eternal house, we find peace and purpose, knowing that we have a place with Him forever.
Matthew 6:20
But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal.
Revelation 21:3
And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
Colossians 1:5
For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel.
Isaiah 66:22
For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the Lord, so shall your seed and your name remain.
