2 Corinthians 9:6
2 Corinthians 9:6
But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.
The principle that he who sows sparingly reaps sparingly, and he who sows bountifully reaps bountifully, emphasizes the law of giving and receiving. This principle reflects God’s design for generosity, where our willingness to give opens the door for greater blessings. Sowing generously means giving without reservation, trusting that God will provide. This verse challenges us to be intentional in our giving, understanding that our contributions, whether large or small, have a lasting impact. Generous giving leads to abundant blessings, not only in material form but in spiritual fulfillment and joy. This principle encourages us to adopt a mindset of abundance, recognizing that in God’s kingdom, there is always enough to share. Our generous actions not only bless others but also allow us to experience the joy and satisfaction of being a part of God’s work.
Acts 20:35
It is more blessed to give than to receive.
Luke 6:33
And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same.
Proverbs 18:16
A man's gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men.
Matthew 6:1
Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.
