2 Samuel 23:2
2 Samuel 23:2
The Spirit of the LORD spake by me, and his word was in my tongue.
The Holy Spirit plays a central role in the fulfillment of God's word. As the Spirit spoke through the prophets, so too does He guide us today, speaking God's truth into our hearts and minds. The Spirit enables us to understand and proclaim the word of God, empowering us to speak truth and share the gospel with others. This verse shows the close connection between the Holy Spirit and prophecy—the Spirit inspires and equips believers to speak God's truth boldly and effectively. It also emphasizes that the word of God is not just words on a page, but is brought to life by the Holy Spirit, making it personal and powerful. As believers, we are called to be instruments of God’s word, speaking with faith and conviction, empowered by the Spirit.
John 16:7
Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.
Romans 8:16
The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
John 14:17
Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
John 14:16
And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
