2 Timothy 1:6
2 Timothy 1:6
For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands.
God’s gifts are like a flame, meant to be kindled and nurtured. Paul’s encouragement to fan into flame the gift within us speaks to the need for diligence and perseverance. Each of us has a unique calling, a purpose woven into our being, and we are urged to pursue it with passion. This verse is a reminder to embrace our gifts fully, not allowing fear or doubt to dim our light. When we cultivate our talents, we honor the God who gave them, and we inspire others to do the same. The act of fanning into flame requires effort, intentionality, and commitment, a daily choice to grow and improve. Let us be bold in using our gifts, stepping out in faith and allowing God to work through us. May our lives be a testament to His grace, as we strive to fulfill the purpose He has set before us. Through dedication and faith, we keep the flame burning bright, a light in a world that needs His love.
1 Peter 4:10
As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
1 Corinthians 12:4
Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit.
Ephesians 4:11
And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
James 1:17
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
