Acts 2:39
Acts 2:39
For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.
The promise of salvation extends not only to us but to our children and to all who are far off—those who have not yet come to faith but will be called by God. This verse assures us that God's covenant is generational. The promises of His salvation are not limited to one individual but extend to our children, to future generations, and to those who will one day come to know the Lord. It emphasizes the inclusive nature of God's grace, which is available to all who respond to His call, regardless of where they are in time or space. This promise is a powerful encouragement to parents and families, as it assures them that God’s plan for salvation includes their children. It gives hope for the future, knowing that God is at work even now, calling people to Himself. Parents can find comfort in the knowledge that their children are part of God’s eternal plan, and they can trust Him to fulfill His promises in their lives.
