Colossians 1:13
Colossians 1:13
Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son.
This verse speaks of God’s deliverance from the power of darkness, transferring us into the kingdom of His Son. Through Christ, we are saved from the grip of sin and death, brought into the light of His kingdom. This is the hope of the gospel—the promise of deliverance from darkness into God’s marvelous light. Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross frees us from the power of darkness, offering us a new life in His kingdom. As believers, we are citizens of this kingdom, called to live according to its values and reflect its light in a dark world. Christ’s salvation brings us into His kingdom, where we are secure in His love and protected by His power. We no longer live in the darkness of sin but walk in the light of His grace, truth, and freedom.
1 John 1:5
This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
Matthew 4:16
The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up.
2 Corinthians 4:6
For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God.
Isaiah 58:8
Thy light shall break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily.
