Colossians 1:16
Colossians 1:16
For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:.
This verse speaks of the sovereignty of God in creation and His power over all things. Jesus Christ, as the Word through whom all things were created, is the foundation of all existence. The power of Jesus is evident in the creation of the universe, where He spoke the world into being. Every element of creation reflects His power and authority. The fact that everything in heaven and earth was created by Jesus affirms His divinity and His integral role in the Godhead. This verse emphasizes that Jesus is not just a historical figure, but the very Creator of the universe. His power is limitless, and through Him, all things were made for His glory. Understanding that Jesus is the Creator should deepen our reverence for Him and encourage us to trust in His authority over every aspect of our lives.
