Colossians 3:3
Colossians 3:3
For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.
For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. This verse from Colossians speaks to the powerful truth that our identity is now found in Christ, and that our old selves are no longer in control. Birthdays offer an opportunity to reflect on the transformation that happens when we accept Christ. Our old way of life dies, and we are resurrected into a new identity in Christ. This verse reminds us that our lives are not our own; they are hidden with Christ in God, safe and secure. As we celebrate our birthdays, we can give thanks for the new life we’ve received and the security we have in knowing that we are in Christ. Our past mistakes, failures, and sins no longer define us—what defines us is our position in Christ. Our identity is rooted in His death and resurrection, and every year of life is an opportunity to grow more fully into the person God created us to be. This renewal is not just a one-time event but a continuous process as we live hidden in Christ, secure in His love and grace.
2 Timothy 1:9
Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began;
Revelation 3:20
If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.
