Deuteronomy 10:18
Deuteronomy 10:18
Sheweth kindness unto the stranger, unto the fatherless, and unto the widow, in love.
God is celebrated as the “father of the fatherless” and “protector of widows,” inviting us to praise Him for His compassionate care. This verse is a reminder that God’s heart is closely aligned with those who are vulnerable, offering them His protection and love. He is not distant or indifferent; rather, He takes on the role of a caring Father, watching over those who lack family support. This description of God calls us to praise Him for His mercy and faithfulness, recognizing that He is a refuge for those in need. Let us be inspired to trust in God’s protective nature, finding comfort in His promise to care for the vulnerable. May we join in praising Him, not only with words but also through our actions, by extending His love to those around us. In honoring God as the protector of widows and father to the fatherless, we reflect His compassion and bring His presence into the lives of those who need it most.
