Deuteronomy 24:17
Deuteronomy 24:17
You shall not pervert the justice due to the sojourner or to the fatherless, or take a widow's garment in pledge.
God pronounces woe on those who enact laws that deprive the needy of justice, highlighting His disdain for oppression and corruption. This verse serves as a powerful warning against using power to harm the poor, emphasizing that God is deeply concerned with how society treats the vulnerable. When laws and systems are manipulated to exploit the needy and rob them of their rights, it goes against God’s nature of justice and compassion. This verse challenges us to examine the systems and practices within our own communities, encouraging us to advocate for fair treatment and protection for the marginalized. Let us be inspired to stand against injustice, speaking out for those who cannot speak for themselves and working to create a society where everyone is treated with dignity. May we seek to live in a way that reflects God’s love for justice, striving to build communities that uphold the rights and well-being of all, especially those in need.
Exodus 22:22

Psalm 82:3

Jeremiah 49:11
Leave your fatherless children; I will keep them alive; and let your widows trust in me.
Deuteronomy 10:18
Sheweth kindness unto the stranger, unto the fatherless, and unto the widow, in love.
