Deuteronomy 6:6
Deuteronomy 6:6
And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:.
God’s Word is not meant to be a distant command, but a truth that penetrates deep into the heart. This verse speaks to the importance of internalizing the commandments of God. When God’s laws are written on our hearts, they shape the way we think, speak, and act. Teaching children God’s commandments is not merely a matter of making them memorize rules, but of helping them understand the heart behind those commands. Parents are called to impress God’s Word upon the hearts of their children, guiding them in the ways of righteousness. The internalization of God’s commandments helps children grow in faith, character, and obedience. As they learn to love God and His Word, they are equipped to face life’s challenges with wisdom and understanding. When the commandments of God are not just taught but lived out, they have the power to transform hearts and lives. Parents play a crucial role in making sure that God's truth becomes the foundation of their children’s lives.
