Ecclesiastes 4:12
Ecclesiastes 4:12
And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.
And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken. This verse from Ecclesiastes 4:12 speaks to the power of unity and collaboration. When we are united with others—whether in friendship, marriage, or the body of Christ—we are stronger than when we stand alone. A threefold cord is stronger because it is intertwined, and similarly, when we are united in purpose and love, we create a bond that cannot be easily broken. Birthdays can be a time to reflect on the strength of the relationships we’ve built, and how they have supported us throughout life’s challenges. In moments of difficulty, we are reminded that we are never truly alone—God has placed people in our lives to support us, encourage us, and walk alongside us. Let us also be mindful of strengthening the bonds of unity in our relationships, making sure that we are always seeking to encourage, support, and uplift one another.
Proverbs 27:17
Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.
Hebrews 13:16
But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.
Matthew 5:9
Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
