Ecclesiastes 9:11
Ecclesiastes 9:11
I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.
The Bible teaches that the race of life is not won by mere speed or strength; instead, it calls for humility, wisdom, patience, and inner strength. This reminds us that spiritual growth is not about quick wins or outward power but about enduring through faith and trust in God’s wisdom. Those who embrace humility and lean on God’s guidance understand that life’s challenges are not to be faced alone but with His help. This approach to life encourages believers to resist the urge to rush or rely solely on their own abilities. Instead, it invites them to walk in step with God, gaining wisdom and resilience through each experience. In this, we find strength not in human capability but in our dependence on God, learning that true victory is found in spiritual maturity and closeness with Him. By embracing patience and humility, believers can face any obstacle, knowing that their strength comes from a deep, unwavering relationship with their Creator.
