Ephesians 4:25
Ephesians 4:25
Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.
Ephesians 4:25 urges believers to "put away lying" and to speak truth with one another, for we are "members one of another." This verse emphasizes the unity that truth fosters within the body of Christ. Lying, whether in small or large ways, divides and weakens relationships. It creates distrust, undermines fellowship, and disrupts harmony. By contrast, truth fosters love and unity, for truthfulness aligns with God's character and unites us as His people. When we speak truth to one another, we reflect God's heart for His Church, and we fulfill our role as members of His body. Truth is not merely about avoiding falsehood; it is about upholding integrity in our relationships and ensuring that our words and actions align with God's righteousness. In doing so, we not only honor God but also contribute to the strength and health of the community of believers. Truth, as it flows from a heart aligned with God’s will, becomes the glue that holds the body of Christ together.
2 Corinthians 13:8
For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth.
Psalms 25:5
Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.
John 14:6
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Deuteronomy 32:4
He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.
