Ephesians 5:25
Ephesians 5:25
Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it.
The sacrificial love of a husband for his wife is a powerful example of Christ’s love for the Church. This verse urges husbands to emulate Christ’s example of selflessness and devotion, putting the needs of their wives before their own. This kind of love is not based on emotion alone, but on commitment, sacrifice, and the willingness to serve. In the same way that Christ gave Himself for the Church, husbands are called to lay down their lives for their wives in love, ensuring their well-being, happiness, and spiritual growth. This kind of devotion goes beyond mere affection and calls for a deep, abiding love that actively seeks the good of the other. For men, this scripture emphasizes the importance of sacrificial love in marriage and serves as a reminder that true love involves putting the needs of others above one’s own.

Likewise urge the younger men to be self-controlled.
Judges 6:12
The Lord is with you, O mighty man of valor.
1 Timothy 5:8
But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.
