Ephesians 5:8
Ephesians 5:8
For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light.
As believers, we were once in darkness, but now we are called to walk as children of light. This verse speaks to the transformation that occurs when we come to know the Lord. In the past, our lives may have been filled with confusion, sin, and separation from God, but through Christ, we are made new, walking in His light. Walking in the light means living in a way that reflects God’s truth and righteousness. It requires turning away from darkness and sin and living according to God's will. As children of light, we are called to shine brightly in a dark world, sharing the hope and transformation we’ve experienced in Christ. This light is not our own; it is God’s presence and His guidance that illuminates our path. In our everyday actions, we are to reflect His love, truth, and faith, pointing others to the hope found in Him.
Luke 1:79
To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.
1 John 1:5
This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
2 Corinthians 4:6
For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God.
Matthew 5:14
Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
