Exodus 16:6
Exodus 16:6
So Moses and Aaron said to all the Israelites, In the evening you will know that it was the Lord who brought you out of Egypt.
Here, Moses and Aaron give the Israelites an assurance that, in due time, they will see that it was the Lord who had brought them out of Egypt. Even though they were still in the wilderness and faced with the challenge of needing water, God’s faithfulness would soon be made clear. This verse teaches us that sometimes we may not see the full picture right away. In times of hardship or uncertainty, it is easy to question God's plan, but we are encouraged to trust that He is at work behind the scenes. Just as the Israelites would later see God’s provision in the form of water, we too will see the evidence of God's work in our lives when the time is right. This passage calls us to trust God's timing and provision, even when the path seems unclear. As we wait, we can be confident that God is faithful, and He will reveal His goodness in His perfect timing. His promises will always come to pass.
Exodus 16:3
And the Israelites said to them, If only we had died by the Lord's hand in Egypt.
1 Corinthians 10:10
Do not grumble, as some of them did—and were killed by the destroying angel.
Exodus 16:2
And the whole congregation of the people of Israel grumbled against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness.
Ecclesiastes 5:2
Do not be quick with your mouth, do not be hasty in your heart to utter anything before God.
