Galatians 5:19
Galatians 5:19
Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,.
The works of the flesh are clear and damaging. They manifest in ways that lead to destruction and distance from God. Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, and lasciviousness are not just societal sins; they are internal struggles that affect one’s relationship with God. These works of the flesh destroy the peace and joy that God intends for us. When we walk in the flesh, we live in pursuit of things that bring temporary pleasure but ultimately lead to spiritual death. However, the life that God desires for us is one of purity and righteousness. The presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives empowers us to overcome the flesh and its desires. It is only by the Spirit that we can live according to God's will, resisting the temptations of sin and growing in holiness. Each day is an opportunity to choose the Spirit over the flesh, and to live a life that reflects God’s character. The struggle is real, but with the strength of the Spirit, victory is possible.

1 Corinthians 3:16
Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
1 Thessalonians 4:3
For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication;
Ephesians 5:3
But fornication and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints.
