Hebrews 9:22
Hebrews 9:22
And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.
The sacrificial system in the Old Testament required the shedding of blood for the forgiveness of sins. In this verse, the writer emphasizes that without the shedding of blood, there is no remission of sin. Jesus’ blood, shed on the cross, fulfilled the requirements of the law and provided the ultimate sacrifice for sin. His death made possible the forgiveness of sins for all who believe in Him. The blood of Christ, more precious than any animal sacrifice, cleanses us from all unrighteousness and makes us right with God. The cross is the focal point of God's plan for redemption, and through it, we are reconciled to God. The blood of Jesus was the price paid for our salvation, and through it, we experience grace, mercy, and forgiveness. Without the shedding of His blood, there would be no hope for salvation, but through His sacrifice, we are given the gift of eternal life.
