Bebe's interpretation
“My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge.” Knowledge, particularly spiritual knowledge, is vital for flourishing in life. When we are ignorant of God’s Word and His ways, we are susceptible to mistakes, confusion, and destruction. This verse emphasizes the need for us to seek God’s wisdom and understanding. Without knowledge, we cannot make wise decisions, and we are more likely to fall into error. It serves as a warning to both individuals and communities to value the pursuit of knowledge, especially the knowledge of God’s truth. For parents, it calls us to invest in the spiritual education of our children, ensuring that they are rooted in God’s Word and equipped to navigate life with wisdom.
