Isaiah 49:1
Isaiah 49:1
Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The Lord hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name.
This verse speaks to the divine calling that each individual has from the very moment of their conception. God’s knowledge of us begins even in the womb, suggesting an intimate connection and purpose instilled within every life from the start. This divine calling, as reflected in 'the Lord hath called me from the womb,' emphasizes that our existence is not accidental or purposeless. God has a distinct plan and identity for us, even before we take our first breath. This assurance that He knows us so intimately can be incredibly comforting, especially in moments of doubt or confusion about our place in the world. The verse also speaks to the value of life itself, emphasizing that each person is uniquely known and called by God. It encourages us to live with purpose and embrace the path He has laid out, trusting in His design for our lives and finding peace in the knowledge that we are never alone, as God is with us from the very beginning.
Job 31:15
Did not he that made me in the womb make him and did not one fashion us in the womb.
Luke 2:40
And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the grace of God was upon him.
Job 10:11
Thou hast clothed me with skin and flesh, and hast fenced me with bones and sinews.
Ecclesiastes 11:5
As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child.
