Jeremiah 17:10
Jeremiah 17:10
I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.
God searches the hearts and minds of all people, knowing the deepest intentions behind every action. He does not judge by outward appearance but by the inner condition of the heart. This means that righteousness is not merely about external actions but the true motivations that drive them. We are accountable to God not just for what we do, but for why we do it. In His perfect judgment, He will give every person according to the fruit of their actions. This challenges us to live with pure motives, ensuring that our hearts align with God’s truth. If we live for His glory, we will bear fruit that reflects His goodness and truth. God’s judgment, rooted in truth and righteousness, calls us to examine our hearts and live authentically in His sight.
Ecclesiastes 12:14
For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
Matthew 11:24
But I say unto you, That it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment, than for thee.
Isaiah 33:22
For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our king; he will save us.
James 4:12
There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another?
