Jeremiah 3:14
Jeremiah 3:14
Return, faithless people, declares the Lord, for I am your husband. I will choose you—one from a town and two from a clan—and bring you to Zion.
Repentance is an invitation from God, calling us to return to Him, no matter how far we have strayed. This verse highlights God's mercy and His desire for us to return to a loving relationship with Him. Just as a husband desires the return of his wayward wife, God longs for the faithless to return to Him. His call to repentance is not one of condemnation but one of love and hope. He promises to choose us, bringing us back to a place of peace and purpose. This call is not just for the righteous, but for everyone, no matter their past or how far they have wandered. It is a promise of renewal, a fresh start in the loving arms of a faithful God. When we respond to God's call, we are invited to draw near, experiencing His forgiveness and His presence once again. Repentance is the first step in the journey of returning to God, restoring our relationship with Him, and embracing His love and commitment.
