John 10:14
John 10:14
I am the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know me.
Jesus, the Good Shepherd, knows His sheep intimately, and they know Him. This verse speaks to the relationship between Jesus and His followers, one based on deep mutual understanding and trust. As leaders, we are called to model this relationship, showing others the value of knowing and being known by Jesus. The Good Shepherd cares for His sheep, leads them to safety, and provides for their needs. This intimate knowledge is not just about facts but about a close, personal relationship. Jesus calls us by name, and we respond to His voice, trusting in His leadership. As we follow Him, we experience the security and peace that come from being in His care. The relationship with the Shepherd is characterized by belonging, trust, and love, and as leaders, we must teach others to listen for His voice and follow Him faithfully.
