John 8:47
John 8:47
He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.
"He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God" highlights the intimate relationship between God's people and His Word. Those who belong to God have a deep connection with His Word, hearing it with understanding and responding to it with obedience. This verse serves as a reminder that true listening to God's Word requires a relationship with Him. Without that relationship, God's Word remains distant and misunderstood. When we are in right relationship with God, we are more attuned to His voice, able to hear His words clearly and follow His guidance with a willing heart. Listening to God’s voice becomes a sign of our relationship with Him, as we seek to live according to His will.
