Leviticus 11:44
Leviticus 11:44
Be holy, for I am holy.
The call to holiness is a profound reminder of God’s own character and His invitation for us to reflect His purity and righteousness in our lives. This command to be holy, because God is holy, is not merely a suggestion but a calling that sets a standard for our lives as His followers. Holiness involves setting ourselves apart from the patterns of the world, committing to live with integrity, humility, and obedience to God. To be holy is to reflect God’s nature, allowing His love, truth, and purity to be evident in every area of our lives. Holiness is not something we achieve through our own strength but through the grace and empowerment of the Holy Spirit, who sanctifies and transforms us daily. When we strive for holiness, we draw closer to God, understanding that His holiness is the foundation of His love and justice. As we grow in holiness, we are better equipped to live out His will, becoming vessels of His grace in a world that needs His light. This pursuit of holiness requires dedication and a willingness to surrender to God, allowing Him to shape us into His image and make us more like Christ each day.
Ephesians 1:4
He chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless.
Romans 6:22
But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.
1 Peter 1:16
Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.
1 Thessalonians 4:7
For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.
