Bebe's interpretation
Martha’s distraction serves as a powerful reminder to prioritize what truly matters. In the midst of serving and working, it is easy to become distracted and overwhelmed by the demands of life. Martha was so focused on the preparations that she lost sight of the most important thing—spending time with Jesus. In a world full of distractions, we are called to refocus and choose the better part, just as Mary did by sitting at Jesus’ feet and listening to Him. While tasks and responsibilities are important, they should never overshadow our relationship with God. Jesus invites us to choose Him first, to seek His presence above all else. When we prioritize God and His word, we find peace and joy that no task or achievement can provide. We are reminded that God desires our hearts more than our works, and that time spent with Him is never wasted.
