Luke 22:30
Luke 22:30
That ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
Jesus promised that His followers would dine with Him in His kingdom, seated at the table with Him and reigning alongside Him. This promise speaks to the incredible privilege of being part of God's eternal family. As we share in the life of Christ, we are promised fellowship with Him in His kingdom. This promise also points to the victory that believers will experience when Christ returns to establish His kingdom. Those who remain faithful to Him will be honored by sitting with Him on thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. This speaks to the authority and responsibility that believers will have in God's eternal kingdom. It’s a reminder that our actions today have eternal significance and that the reward for faithfulness is great in the eyes of God.
