Luke 6:22
Luke 6:22
Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you.
When we are hated, reproached, or excluded for Christ's sake, we are reminded that our identity is not found in the approval of the world but in the love of God. This verse calls us to endure when we face rejection or reproach, knowing that these trials are part of following Christ. Just as He was rejected by the world, we too may face hatred and exclusion. However, this does not diminish our worth; rather, it affirms that we are in alignment with Christ and His mission. The endurance required in these moments reflects the strength and grace that God gives us to face opposition with faith and courage. Worship becomes a declaration of our identity in Christ, where we celebrate the fact that we are counted worthy to suffer for His name. Our joy is rooted in the truth that we belong to God, and His love is greater than any rejection we face.
1 Peter 3:14
But even if ye suffer for righteousness’ sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled.
John 15:25
But this cometh to pass, that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause.
2 Corinthians 4:9
Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;
Exodus 1:12
But the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and grew. And they were grieved because of the children of Israel.
