Luke 8:18
Luke 8:18
Take heed therefore how ye hear: for whosoever hath, to him shall be given; and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken.
"Take heed therefore how ye hear: for whosoever hath, to him shall be given; and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken" warns us to be discerning in how we listen. Jesus emphasizes that our ability to understand and apply what we hear depends on how attentively we listen. Those who listen carefully and seek to understand will receive more wisdom, but those who ignore or disregard what they hear will lose what little they have. This is a reminder that spiritual growth requires intentionality and effort. We must actively cultivate our ability to listen to God's Word, understanding that the more we value and apply His teachings, the more we will grow in wisdom and discernment.
