Matthew 15:32
Matthew 15:32
And Jesus called his disciples unto him, and said, I have compassion on the multitude, because they continue with me now three days, and have nothing to eat.
This verse reveals Jesus' compassionate heart toward the multitudes who were following Him. Despite their physical needs, Jesus was deeply moved by their hunger and weariness. His compassion went beyond their spiritual needs and extended to their physical well-being. Jesus’ empathy for the people is evident in His words: He understood their situation and cared for them in a personal way. This moment exemplifies Jesus' holistic approach to ministry—addressing both the spiritual and physical needs of the people. It challenges us to take a similar approach in our own lives, to recognize the needs of those around us—whether emotional, spiritual, or physical—and to respond with compassion. Jesus did not merely acknowledge the people’s plight; He took action. As His followers, we are called to not only recognize the suffering of others but also to take steps to alleviate it. This verse encourages us to grow in compassion, to follow Jesus’ example by caring for others in practical and loving ways.

Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous:

The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.
