Matthew 17:5
Matthew 17:5
This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.
The voice of God calls to us to listen, just as He spoke to His Son, whom He was well pleased with. This verse is a reminder that God’s voice is one we must hear and respond to in faith. Jesus, the beloved Son, serves as the ultimate example of obedience, listening to and following the will of God. Just as God expressed His pleasure in His Son, He calls us to listen to His words and follow them with the same obedience. Hearing God’s voice is not just about passive listening; it requires action. As disciples of Christ, we are called to not only hear but also to obey. God is pleased when we listen to His voice, trust His guidance, and walk in His ways.
John 8:47
He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.
Mark 4:23
If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.
Proverbs 8:33
Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not.
Luke 4:32
And they were astonished at his doctrine: for his word was with power.
