Matthew 28:18
Matthew 28:18
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run into it and are safe speaks to the unshakable safety and refuge that God provides for His people. The image of a strong tower conveys the idea of shelter, protection, and strength. In times of danger or uncertainty, the righteous—those who live according to God’s will—are invited to take refuge in the name of the Lord, finding safety and security in His power. Just as a fortified tower offers physical protection in times of war, God’s name is a spiritual fortress that shields believers from the attacks of the enemy, whether physical or spiritual. The verse assures believers that God’s power is more than enough to protect them from harm. This promise does not suggest that believers will never face difficulties but rather that in the midst of challenges, they have access to the ultimate source of safety. For Christians, this is an invitation to place their trust fully in God, knowing that He is their protector and refuge. This verse calls Christians to run to God when life’s storms arise, to seek His presence as a safe haven, and to find peace in the certainty that His name is a strong tower that cannot be shaken.

You would have no authority over me at all unless it had been given you from above.
Mark 12:17
And he said to them, Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.
Hebrews 13:17
Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.
Matthew 16:19
I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven.
