Nahum 1:7

The Lord is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.

God’s goodness shines brightest in times of trouble. He is our stronghold and refuge when the storms of life threaten to overwhelm us. In times of trouble, we can take refuge in Him, knowing that He is good, faithful, and always ready to help. God is not a distant observer in our suffering; He is a close and active presence who offers protection and comfort. He knows His people intimately and will not allow them to be overcome by their trials. In Him, we find a sanctuary, a place of peace and safety where we can rest and trust. The Lord’s goodness is a shield that surrounds us, and His knowledge of us assures us that He will provide all that we need in times of distress.
