Paul’s instruction to “be not slothful in business” is a call to approach our tasks with enthusiasm and dedication. To be fervent in spirit is to work with passion, treating our responsibilities as acts of service to God. This verse reminds us that our daily work, when done with a willing heart, becomes a form of worship. By serving with diligence, we reflect God’s character, honoring Him in both small and significant tasks. This verse challenges us to avoid complacency and instead embrace each opportunity with zeal. Our work, whether in ministry or in daily business, is a platform for God’s glory when approached with commitment and integrity. Let this verse inspire us to serve God wholeheartedly, understanding that our labor reflects our devotion and brings honor to Him. May we be fervent in spirit, knowing that in every effort, we serve the Lord with purpose.
