Proverbs 15:16
Proverbs 15:16
Better is little with the fear of the Lord than great treasure and trouble therewith.
Better a little with the fear of the Lord than great wealth with turmoil. This verse from Proverbs 15:16 speaks to the importance of contentment and peace over the pursuit of wealth. In business and life, it is easy to be drawn into the desire for more, but this verse reminds us that peace and godliness are far more valuable than material wealth gained at the expense of our well-being or peace of mind. Birthdays offer a time to reflect on our priorities—do we value contentment, peace, and godliness over wealth? When we choose the fear of the Lord over the pursuit of riches, we find true peace, even if our material wealth is modest. Let us commit to seeking God first in all areas of our lives, trusting that He will provide for us in ways that bring lasting peace and contentment.
Proverbs 13:11

He that is greedy of gain troubleth his own house; but he that hateth gifts shall live.
Proverbs 22:1
A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favour rather than silver and gold.
Ecclesiastes 5:10
Whoever loves money never has enough; whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with their income.
