Proverbs 15:31
Proverbs 15:31
The ear that heareth the reproof of life abideth among the wise.
Proverbs 15:31 highlights, “The ear that heareth the reproof of life abideth among the wise.” Wisdom, according to this verse, is not something we achieve merely by reading or studying; it is cultivated through our ability to hear and accept reproof—constructive criticism or correction. It’s not easy to hear when we are wrong, but God’s Word teaches that a wise person is open to correction. When we refuse to listen to the voice of correction, we harden our hearts and miss opportunities to grow. Receiving reproof helps refine our character and aligns us more closely with God's purpose for our lives. It is through the willingness to hear and learn from others, especially those who are wiser, that we gain wisdom. Proverbs tells us that those who heed reproof are not only wise, but they also gain deeper understanding and are more equipped to live in accordance with God's will.

Matthew 10:16
Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.
Proverbs 14:15
The simple believeth every word: but the prudent man looketh well to his going.
Proverbs 4:5
Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth.
