Proverbs 15:4
Proverbs 15:4
A wholesome tongue is a tree of life: but perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit.
Speaking with gentleness has the power to strengthen and sustain, while harsh words can break the spirit. A gentle tongue nurtures, offering support and encouragement in ways that empower and uplift. In contrast, words spoken in anger or bitterness can wound deeply, leaving lasting scars. This contrast highlights the importance of choosing our words with care, recognizing the profound impact they can have on others. By embracing gentle speech, we create an environment where others feel safe, valued, and respected. This practice of gentleness is a reflection of a compassionate heart, one that seeks to build rather than harm. Each gentle word spoken is an opportunity to foster growth and healing, demonstrating a commitment to peace and encouragement. Through this approach, we become a source of life and hope for those around us, creating connections that are rooted in respect and love. Every word becomes a building block in the lives of those we touch, leaving a positive impact that endures.
1 Thessalonians 2:7
But we were gentle among you, even as a nurse cherisheth her children.
2 Samuel 22:36
Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy gentleness hath made me great.
Isaiah 40:11
He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom.
Philippians 4:5
Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.
