Proverbs 19:14
Proverbs 19:14
House and riches are the inheritance of fathers: and a prudent wife is from the Lord.
Those who walk with wise individuals grow in wisdom, while companions of fools are led to destruction. This verse underscores the impact that our associations have on our character and direction in life. Wisdom is not only a personal pursuit but also something we gain through the influence of those around us. Walking with the wise enriches our understanding, sharpens our discernment, and guides us toward righteousness. In contrast, surrounding ourselves with foolish company can lead to negative consequences, as their influence pulls us away from God’s principles. This verse challenges us to choose our companions carefully, seeking relationships that inspire growth and align with God’s values. Let us be intentional in surrounding ourselves with wise counsel, recognizing that these relationships contribute to our spiritual journey. May we embrace the wisdom that comes from Godly companionship, knowing that the people we walk with shape our path. By choosing wise friends, we honor God and strengthen our faith.

For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.

So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.
Joshua 1:8
