Proverbs 22:15
Proverbs 22:15
Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him.
Children are naturally inclined to foolishness, and their hearts, when not guided by wisdom, can easily lead them astray. However, the Bible provides a framework for parents to help their children grow in wisdom and understanding. The rod of correction is mentioned as a means of driving out foolishness. It is not a call for harshness, but a loving tool to guide children away from destructive paths and toward righteousness. Discipline, in this context, is an act of love that helps children learn boundaries and develop moral understanding. It is essential that discipline be administered thoughtfully and consistently, always with the goal of restoration, not punishment. The rod of correction serves as a symbol of responsibility for parents to ensure their children are guided in the way of wisdom. In doing so, parents help their children build character, avoid destructive behaviors, and make wise decisions in the future, leading to a life that is pleasing to God.
Proverbs 17:6
Children's children are the crown of old men; and the glory of children are their fathers.
Colossians 3:20
Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord.
1 Corinthians 13:11

Deuteronomy 6:6
And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:.
