Proverbs 25:21
Proverbs 25:21
If thine enemy be hungry, give him bread to eat; and if he be thirsty, give him water to drink:.
Extending kindness to someone who has wronged us is a radical expression of grace. When we offer food to an enemy in need, we are choosing to rise above the natural human desire for retaliation and instead embrace a spirit of forgiveness and compassion. This act of kindness demonstrates a powerful message: love and mercy have the capacity to disarm hostility and open doors to reconciliation. By choosing to feed rather than fight, we reflect the heart of God, who provides for all, regardless of their actions. This generosity is not about condoning harm but about responding with a love that surpasses understanding. In choosing to help those who may not deserve it, we find freedom from bitterness and resentment, allowing us to live with a heart that is at peace. Through such acts, we reflect the very essence of divine love, a love that is patient, kind, and willing to extend a hand even to those who have opposed us. This path of mercy leads to a life that embodies true spiritual strength, one that speaks louder than words, showing that forgiveness and grace are indeed transformative powers.
