Proverbs 28:1
Proverbs 28:1
The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion.
The righteous are as bold as lions—this statement emphasizes the strength and courage that comes from living according to God’s will. A lion is a symbol of power, confidence, and fearlessness, and when we live righteously, we are empowered to face life with the same boldness. The righteousness referred to here is not based on our own efforts, but on the righteousness of Christ imputed to us. As we align ourselves with God’s will, we are transformed and equipped to stand firm in our faith, no matter the challenges. The boldness that comes from righteousness is not arrogance, but a quiet confidence that rests in God's strength. It is a courage that comes from knowing who we are in Christ and the authority we have as His children. This verse encourages us to step forward with boldness in every area of our lives, knowing that the Lord strengthens and upholds us.
2 Samuel 10:12
Be of good courage, and let us play the men for our people, and for the cities of our God: and the LORD do that which seemeth him good.
Joshua 1:6
Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them.
Isaiah 43:1
But now thus saith the Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.
2 Kings 6:16
Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.
