Bebe's interpretation
Proverbs 29:11 says, “A fool uttereth all his mind: but a wise man keepeth it in till afterwards.” This verse draws a sharp distinction between the reckless speech of a fool and the measured response of a wise person. A fool is impulsive and speaks without thinking, often expressing every thought that comes to mind, regardless of the consequences. In contrast, a wise person knows the power of their words and the importance of timing. Wisdom teaches restraint, knowing when to speak and when to remain silent. It’s not just about having something to say, but understanding whether it is the right moment to speak, and whether the words will bring peace or discord. A wise individual carefully considers the impact of their words on others, understanding that words can either build up or tear down. By learning to control our speech and speaking in due season, we grow in wisdom and understanding.
