Proverbs 29:17
Proverbs 29:17
Chasten thy son, and he shall give thee rest; yea, he shall give delight unto thy soul.
Proverbs 29:17 promises that when a father corrects his son, the result will be peace and joy. Discipline is not meant to cause bitterness or anger but to bring about transformation that benefits both the father and the child. Through correction, a father helps his child understand the importance of making wise choices, which leads to peace in the home. When a child is taught to respect authority, make wise decisions, and take responsibility for their actions, it brings a sense of order and harmony. Fathers who invest in the discipline of their children can look forward to the joy that comes from seeing them grow in wisdom and character. This joy is not just for the father but is also reflected in the child’s life, as they learn to live in alignment with godly principles. A disciplined child grows up with the understanding of right and wrong, the ability to make wise decisions, and the desire to honor those who love and guide them.

Proverbs 19:13
A foolish son is the calamity of his father and the contentions of a wife are a continual dropping.
