Proverbs 29:25
Proverbs 29:25
The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe.
The fear of man can trap us, but when we put our trust in the Lord, we are safe. Fear of others often leads to compromise, insecurity, and paralysis, but when we choose to trust in God rather than in the opinions of others, we experience true freedom. The confidence that comes from trusting God is not shaken by human judgment or approval. When we fear God rather than man, we are released from the snares of people’s expectations, and we can confidently follow His will. Trusting God brings security, for He is the ultimate authority over all things. People may fail us, but God never will. By placing our trust in Him, we find refuge from the pressures and fears that come from living for the approval of others. In Him, we find true peace and safety, knowing that He holds our future and is with us always.
Isaiah 50:7
The Lord God will help me therefore shall I not be confounded therefore have I set my face like a flint.
Philippians 1:6
Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:
James 1:6
But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
2 Corinthians 5:7
For we walk by faith, not by sight
